Chapter 6

            Tina just went straight to the matter without beating around the bush.  She knew the deal was a fair and acceptable one.

            “I believe you are sam, linda’s ex?” tina asked.

            “yes, you are right” sam replied

            good! Am not Interested in whatever you have against linda that made you do such thing, am good to press charges against you and place you behind bars…tina threatened him.

            Sam got scared and apologized to tina.

            “please..please…stop it before you make me angry the more. You are lucky her father, the minister is not aware of this, and if this issue escalates more than it has, it might ruin his political career and you will be blame for that. That is why I called you here . so am giving you 24hrs to take all traces of that video off the internet. The harm has already been done, do this  or you have yourself to  blame”. Tina offered in the deal.

            “Madam consider it done. Am sorry. It won’t happen again”

Secondly, I’ll  give you two an amount of USD2000 each to keep your mouths shut for what am about to tell you.

            “linda is coming back to school but as a different person and am telling you this because  you  have been the closest people in her life on campus, apparently she is suffering from amnesia  and does not ever recognize her family not to talk of the sex video. I want you two to keep your mouths shut about her situation and also make sure that she doesn’t ever come across the video”. She then quickly wrote a cheque but to her amazement tolu refused it.

            Tina felt embarrassed by tolu’s  reaction. It was getting late, so tina dismissed sam. All the other workers had also signed out and left for their various destination.

            Tina and tolu continued battling each other over the money until tolu asked a question.

“Madam I really don’t understand why you are giving out this money but I want to know the relationship between you are  linda”

If you care to know  she my client. Am linda’s lawyer and don’t address me as “madam” my name is tina.

The weather began to change as it was getting late into the night. It appeared that it was going to rain.

            They then decided to let matters rest and continue some other time. As soon as they stepped out of the interior office to the reception, the rain started. Tina requested that tolu should join her in the car so she could drop him off at his place since it was raining. They both rushed tina’s car and sat in.

 The rain was so heavy that within short time they rushed to car, they were wet.

            Unfortunately, as tina tried to ignite her car, it didn’t respond. She tried several times but the situation remained the same. They both had no other option but to go back to the office.     

            Again they rushed from the car and went straight into the office. At this moment they got more wet and were  both dripping .

            They were wetting the office,  tina quickly took off her shirt leaving bra and skirt. Her curved shaped in her bra drew tolu’s attention. For a moment he lost concentration and kept on staring at her shiny looking breast as it looked firm in her soaked bra.

Chapter 5

            She then sat on her office desk, thinking and asking herself series of questions.

“what is wrong with me?..this is unusual of me ..I don’t know what is happening .. tolu is too ordinary he doesn’t even have a job yet,…why do I feel for him “

Tina don’t know how to deal with such feeling because she has never been in love, it is completely new to her. All she wants is to be with tolu no matter and how she is going to do that doesn’t matter to her.

            The following day, things began to appear to be fine, linda is looking healthy at the hospital as tina and her dad got  to her ward. She didn’t recognize them. However she has been through psychological counseling therapy to make her understand the situation she is . her being aware will help her to recover quickly.

            Tina and her dad spoke to her to make her aware of the relationship between them. They started telling her things about her, things like her school life, how happy she was, about her kid life, how stubborn she was when was still a kid, about her mother and the way her mother died…and many more. She began to feel comfortable as the told her about the basic things in her life.

            The doctor advised that linda should always be surrounded by her love  ones and her friends, she should visit her and spend more time in her favorites places and gardens before the incident happened.

            Linda made a strange request.

            “dad, I am aware of my situation and we all know what the doctor advised, I need a favour from you”   linda asked.

“What is it my daughter, you know am your father and tina is your sister, we are  here, we are here for you, tell me what you want and consider it done “. Her father responded.

            Ok, thanks you so much. All I want is to go back to the school and start all over again. But my condition should be kept a secret” linda said…

            Her dad had no problem with her request and promised to grant it, but tina on the other side was not pleased because of the sex video that had gone viral and secondly because she knew  tolu will have to be with linda again.

            Tina excused them and went outside the ward to make a call, while linda and dad continue their conversation.

            The call was to tolu, she wanted to get update, she wanted to know how far he has gotten with their earlier agreement.

            “madam, I have been able to reache him, so what time should can we come by?” ..tolu said.

            “good! Be there In the next two hours, the address to my office is in the card I gave. Make sure you are there on time”..tina replied

             She then hanged up the immediately in order to prevent tolu from asking about linda’s whereabouts again. With the progress of linda’s health, the doctor made them aware that linda will be discharged the following morning. It was a good news for them.

            Without wasting more time tina left for the office. She got there a bit late, tolu and same were already in the reception waiting for her. Tina’s gaze was to tolu, she felt like hugging him that moment she saw him, but she got hold of herself. Tina then invited them into her office to commence the discussion.

Chapter 4

Tina has never felt that way before. It was a strange feeling. There and then she began to see him In the different way.  Tina quickly took her hands off. Tolu thought that probably his actions has  had offended her ..

            “sorry madam..sorry” he apologized

            Don’t worry, am ok…I have to take my leave now…

Then it was time for tolu to get back to his cell..

            “please am innocent, madam an innocent”…tolu kept on pleading as he was being dragged back into his cell.

            Tina got to the counter and with her influence ,as a minister’s daughter, she requested for tolu’s phone….the phone was handed over to her without any questioning. She took her time, she went through the contents of the phone and finally saw the video.  She began to feel bad as she saw the video…

Are you okay ma???...the policeman asked>>>

A..amm okay tha..nks…

She immediately ordered for tolu’s release and also dropped all charges against him….

            Her decision was not only influenced by the video but also by what she feels for tolu..as a matter of fact she has never fell in love …as much as the police and crime investigator was so much surprise of her decision, they had no option than to respect her decision…

            Before tina left, she had dropped her complementary card to be given to tolu when he gets out of the cell……

            Tolu was so surprised  that tina would take a such an action..probably I was able to convince her …he thought to him self…

He quickly gathered his belongings and had his cloth change…without wasting time he called tina as he was leaving the police station’s premises …although not only to show appreciation but also to find out about linda’s health status…

On phone:

            Tina: hello

            Tolu: hello madam

This is tolu, thank you so much, may GOD bless you…thank you for believing me and also for your impact on my release.

            Tina: no need for that, you can as well  do the same thing , anyways, I saw the video on your phone and I need you to get in contact with the guy behind it…..

I want to meet with the both of you latest tomorrow, I have a deal for him , can you do that?

            Tolu: madam I will , I wil bring him to  your office,  madam one more thing, how is linda?..where is she now?..how is she doing?...

Tina got jealous…^****instead of him to be hailing  me ...he is asking of linda^****  she then hung up the call without answering him …..****mtcheeeeeee^******* she hissed and  unnecessarily got upset towards tolu…

 What does he even see in her…..she asked her self….

Chapter 3

 Unfortunately sir……the doctor said..

Your daughter  has lost so much blood which has led to lost of memory but we were able to save her by God’s grace….the doctor replied…

“thank God..can we see her” tina interrupted..

The doctor continued……. so she wont be able to remember somethings, she didn’t remember anything from the incident but she might remember as time goes on , hopefully……

  “what is the meaning of that” her father said.

“your daughter has lost her memory” ….the doctor repeated..

“oh no”

This is the time she needs your attention more, the good news is that , she is responding to treatment and may be discharged In the next few days….

                Tina, on the following day, went to the station to interrogate tolu, getting to the station, the crime investigator also had a word with her to hear her side of the story.

It was a quick one though, now it was time for her to meet tolu. Tolu was brought out of the cell looking devastated.

“Young man tell me what happened, let’s do this quick”

Please before I say anything, tell me how she is first.  tolu’s expression looks real and innocent to tina. She noticed that there was something different about tolu, however this did not distract her, she was determined to get to the root of the matter as soon as possible.

She is alive,  …. I guess that is a disappoint   for you, right?.....hello!!!...young man, just go on and tell me everything that happen that day

               Linda and I have been friend since our first year in school, until this sudden event happened between linda and her ex-boyfriend on campus.

Are you saying my sister was dating was dating….and what event are you talking about?

Somehow, her guy was able to take coverage of their intercourse together and posted on the internet…which went viral..

Tina’s face drooped upon hearing what tolu was saying. She couldn’t believe her ears that a sex video of her sister is out there.

What are you saying?.. are you sure about this?

Yeah am sure, it was out of frustration that linda decided to take her life, that was when I came in..on getting in she already stabbed herself with the knife…it was suicide ..i don’t know anything about it..i was a just a victim of circumstance .

Tina finds some iota of truth in what tolu has said.

“I want to see that video and who ever is behind it, I have to see it before this issue escalates beyond this”

               The video is on my phone ,which is In the  possession if the police….madam am innocent, you can ask linda about all this when she is fine…am innocent

                Tolu held tina’s hand in other to convince her enough that he is innocent …

Tina was getting convinced …the way tolu held her hand firm and looked straight into her eyes gave her a feeling that she had never felt before, she felt the warm temperature of tolu’s hand and began to feel weird as he still held onto her hand pleading.

Will tina pardon tolu???

Chapter 2

               The scream came from linda’s room. He quickly break the door and made his way into linda’s room.upon  entering, he met linda in a pool of blood with the knife still stuck in her tummy she was loosing blood when tolu saw this,  he was completely confused he tried removing the knife from her tummy but she screamed the more. Linda’s biological sister, tina came to meet the scene. She thought that it was tolu who was trying to kill her sister. She quickly screamed for help to draw the attention of everyone. They got hold of tolu and handed him over to the police while linda on the other hand was rushed to the hospital.

               Tina is a law student who is just six months away from becoming a professional lawyer. In all her life she has never been with a man or even know how love feels like. Her lifestyle and daily routine is always the same and predictable, she appeared to very organize in her endeavors and has no time to waste around to do any form of leisure. In summary, she is a bookworm. Apart from all this she is  as beautiful as her younger sister, linda .linda is still alive when they got to the hospital even though she had lost a lot of blood. She was rushed to the emergency ward to be treated.

               Tina then called their father who quickly rushed to the hospital. He asked to see his daughter Instantly but was denied.Tina narrated all she saw at the scene to her father, “what really happened to linda tell me!!”  her father said.  Dad I arrived at the scene late, I just saw her in a pool of blood “with this guy” beside her holding a knife , he is already at the grips of the police, andam yet to gather some sought of evidence against him. I will go there and interrogate him tomorrow..tina said to her dad.

               “oh my God, I don’t want to loose my daughter, I just hope is not one of my opponent” linda father said..

“I hope so too, butb we cant politicize everything daddy the police are currently at the crime scene gathering any evidence the can lay their hands on, for now I just hope linda recover soon enough, so that I can hear her side of this whole thing I just need my sister alive. They waited several hours to hear from the the doctors. Both tina and her father haven’t heard anything about linda’s sex video which had gone viral. Tolu is still in the custody of the police. The police and a crime investigator were to gather much evidence at the crime at the crime scene . however, they needed to hear the side of the witness and the victim before they can proceed with the persecution  .

On the other hand at the hospital. Tina and her dad kept waiting until finally the doctor showed up.

“D..doc..tor how is my daughter? In a shaken voice…is she awake? ..how is she doing” her father asked the doctor

“unfortunately sir …the doctor said…

chapter 1

It’s unfortunate that the sex video only came out after when she had finally won campus election as the women’s commissioner. Apart from the damage it as caused her on campus, her family’s dignity was at stake .she is the daughter of a minister.

Now all what she could think of is to end her life . she couldn’t handle it anymore , everyone had neglected her except Tolu, who is stood by her through all this while . Tolu is secretly in love with linda but she on the hand has always treated him as he kid  brother because she is 2 years older than him. The only reason  she keeps tolu around is to use him as listener and above all she feel secured around him but never had any feelings for him

Linda had locked herself up in her room weeping, she was writing her final words which was full of regrets and apologies to her father. Tolu has seen Linda’s sex video, even though he had warned her about Sam so many times, he still stood by her and respected her decision because of the unique love he had for her. When tolu saw the video, he called linda several times but she didn’t pick up. He instantly knew that something is wrong, so he began to rush straight to her hostel which is 30 minutes away from his place. Linda had finished writing her suicide note, she picked the gun up and pointed it to her head ready to the trigger.

“no, that will make noise and call the attention of the neighbours” she said to herself.

She picked up the pills, and was ready to swallow about 25-30 unprescribed tablets.

“no no, I can easily be saved if am found in time” she said to her self.

Linda thinks of what could be fast and won’t call the attention of the neighbor until she arrived at the knife, she picked the sharp knife out and got ready to pierce it into her tummy.

Tolu at that instant, got to her door he kept on banging the locked wooden door but linda who heard tolu calling her out her name didn’t answer as she was determined to finish it up. She held the knife, raised it high above to enable her use force to pierce deep into her tummy. Tolu was frustrated and was about leaving u ntil he heard linda screamed out loud……………………….

What might have happened?.....is linda dead??......did she dropped the knife??/
