TUITION/SCHOOL FEE REMAINS TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND [N25,000.00] NAIRA ONLY –LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

TUITION/SCHOOL FEE REMAINS TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND [N25,000.00] NAIRA ONLY –LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

TUITION/SCHOOL FEE REMAINS TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND [N25,000.00] NAIRA ONLY – LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

The attention of the Lagos State University Management has again been drawn to the erroneous insinuations making the rounds, especially on the Social Media, regarding a plan to increase or purported increase in the Tuition/School Fee being paid by Students of the University presently.
What the university has done is to increase the payment of acceptance fee from Ten Thousand Naira (#10,000.00) only to Twenty Thousand Naira (#20,000.00) only payable once by candidates recently offered provisional admission by the university. It must be mentioned that the payment of the Twenty Thousand Naira (#20,000.00) acceptance fee remains the cheapest in Nigeria compared to what other universities receive as their acceptance fee.
The University Management however, wishes to reiterate that there is no increment in Tuition/School fees, neither are there plans to effect any increment. Members of the University Community, students and the General Public are urged to disregard any information to the contrary. Please be wary of mischief makers trying to incite and create unnecessary tension in the university. Ademola Adekoya
Coordinator, CIPPR

FEW IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT 2017 ADMISSION

12:46 AM
FEW IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT 2017 ADMISSION

FEW IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT 2017 ADMISSION

CAPS ADMISSION ACCEPTANCE PAGE IS NOW WORKING

There have been so much going this year concerning admission, right from the beginning of the year. From the delay and postponement of the UTME to the late releasing of the UTME result to the reinstating of post-utme also the newly introduction  of the CAPS.
As we all know that most institutions have been releasing their admission list
such as LASU, UNILAG, UI and so on.
Candidates who have been offered admission by their aspiring school(s) should be happy and relieved but they still have one thing to worry about which is the newly introduced CAPS, you should still worry about CAPS after seeing your name on the school admission list.
Candidates should visit their jamb profile to check their admission status on CAPS
click HERE to visit caps portal all you have to do is log in and check

click HERE to see how to check your admission status on caps.

NEW WAY TO ACCEPT YOUR ADMISSION OFFER ON CAPS PORTAL

some higher institutions have started uploading the list of admitted students to jamb caps. schools like unilag have uploaded some the departments if not all but we know of pharmacy and engineering. LASU has also uploaded admitted candidates names on
caps ,department like economics, eduation and sciences have been uploaded.
After checking your admission status on caps, if you have been offered admission caps you would see a congratulations message,
then go ahead and click accept if you like the course you are given but if you dont like the course you can reject. By rejecting the admission, you would be available in the MARKET PLACE which means that other institutions who is in need of candidates would check for available candidates in the market place.

SEE ALSO

HOW MARKET PLACE OPERATES

NOTE: it is obvious that some federal university and state university such as the prestigious ones would not come to the market place in search of candidates so think very well before you reject.
Also if you have not been offered admission on caps but your name is on the admission list, do not panic just keep checking, it means you school is yet to upload the list on caps.

UNILAG ADMISSION LIST
unilag withdrew the admission list from her websites after it was initially uploaded. Various romours have been going around concerning the withdrawn list.
we advice unilag aspirant who has seen their names on the withdrawn list to keep checking caps so as to accept the admission.

LASU ADMISSION
LASU has refused to release another list after the first list and romours has been going on ..
such as there would be more list, no more list and so on. But information getting us says that there would be another list  but the list would only contain direct Entry candidates.
This is for the admitted candidates
Acceptance fee payment portal  might be opened next week
clearance might also start by early december(6TH OF DEC)

HOW JAMB MARKET PLACE OPERATES

12:35 AM
HOW JAMB MARKET PLACE OPERATES
Market Place Operations
The Market Place feature in CAPS provides flexibility for the Institutions to source for candidates who may not have earlier chosen the institution for Admission consideration. Institutions may specify various selection parameters such as UTME score, State/ Local Government, Gender, preferred programmes /course of the Candidates.
The List of Candidates so selected from the Market Place are then pushed to JAMB who then notify the Candidates of Market Place consideration by Institutions. Candidate may Accept / Reject Market Place consideration, subject to a maximum of three (3) Market Place considerations at a time.
The Candidates could also approach the Market Place to announce availability for Admission consideration from any institution or for any programme different from those earlier indicated during the UTME Registration, provided s/he has requisite O’ Level Results and wrote the required subject combination in the UTME.
Any agreement or understanding on Admission consideration between the Institution and candidate based on Market Place operations will have to be effected with a requirement for the Candidate to effect a Change of Institution on the JAMB Portal to be available for Download (Step 6 above) by the new Institution to follow the subsequent steps in the Admission Process.
It should be noted that:
The existing window for candidates to change Institution or Programme in addition to the Market
Place is still available through the e-Facility.
Institutions can download (Step 6 of the Admission Process) list of additional candidates who
have changed to the institutions since the last download
Admissions of candidates can be processed instantly or in batches by Institutions
